Clients approaching you without engineering or specs?

I’m sure you would receive plans from clients quite often that are only preliminary plans. 

As a builder you would naturally think…

’how am I supposed to provide a price on this?!’

You might have a feeling of helplessness for the client and your response will be, ‘come back to me when you’re ready with more information like engineering and specifications’

DON’T DO THAT!

…the way I see it – there is no better opportunity to provide a professional preliminary estimate, build some trust and coach your client through the preliminary stages. 

By doing this, you’re working towards eliminating your competition. 

Clients don’t want to start the process again with someone else, it’s really hard work for a client, good clients want a builder who can help them.

Concept plans with little information? The way I see it – a better opportunity than a fully specified project.
